Bleeding Heart - Stuart Boothman

Stuart Boothman Bleeding Heart, Dicentra 'Stuart Boothman', is a common and traditional perennial with flowers resembling hearts. The compound leaves are delicate and very finely cut. This plant is a reliable performer, and can become large rather quickly. 'Stuart Boothman' is a dwarf and spreading variety with delicate and pendulous clusters of rich dark-pink flowers in late spring. It has fern-like bluish-green foliage. Use Stuart Boothman in beds and borders. Native to woodlands, this shade loving perennial is an excellent addition to any garden. It may be planted in any well-drained soil. Stuart Boohman Bleeding Heart tolerates full sun if given enough moisture. Does not like wet soil in the winter or dry soil in the summer. Mulch plants for the first winter so they will become established.
