Lactuca Winter Density (USDA Organic) Lettuce - Bib Romaine), Lactuca sativa 'Winter Density', is a lettuce variety that will withstand light frosts and produces 8 to 10" high upright heads with crisp, dark green leaves. It is best suited for mature salad mixes in both summer and fall. Once you taste the sweet heart at the center, you will know this could only be Winter Density! It is slow to bolt and tolerant of light frosts! It is an all-around adaptable lettuce that is great for late harvests.
